The label ‘mapxencaRS’ eponymous to luxury and high fashion by twin sisters Riddhi and Siddhi showcased a fresh and vibrant collection at The Tata Nano Talent Box at the Lakmé Fashion Week Winter/Festive 2013.
Rich and versatile fabrics such as linen, pure silks and natural cottons graced the runway in timeless silhouettes of short dresses, tunics, jackets, trousers and tops with a structured flow that was both delicate and carefully accentuated.
For the men, the designer duo created flamboyant and ‘out of the box’ suits with pop coloured piping and mosaic-like forms along the matte toned body. A suit which stood out had an almost experimental edge with structured blue gathers running down the spine area.

MapxencaRS is a high end designer label that makes custom made women and menswear. The label has been started by twin sisters Riddhi & Siddhi Mapxencar in September 2009.
The style of label is western which aims at making structured & conceptualized garments with touch of futuristic elements in it. The embroidery incorporated in garments aims at giving an illusion of print and textures rather just an embellishment.
The garments are made from only pure silks and natural cottons and linen. The label aims at meticulously crafted garments that are stylized and tailored to meet the contemporary fashion lovers.
Riddhi & Siddhi Mapxencar, being twins, they’re of course twice the fun, and that joie do vivre was in the air at a private preview of Riddhi and Siddhi Mapxencar‘s new collection for Lakme Fashion Week 2013.
We have always admired the edgy designs by twin sisters, Riddhi & Siddhi Mapxencar. The duo have always pushed the boundaries to construct their silhouettes and never fear having to experiment with styles outside of the norm.
This season at Lakme Fashion Week, their collection has been inspired by architectural works of the world renowned architect, Zaha Hadid. Her buildings are distinctively futuristic, characterized by powerful, curving forms and elongated structures with multiple perspective points and fragmented geometry to evoke the chaos of modern life. The textures in their garments represent the same ideals. In fact, the works of Zaha Hadid also inspire the colors in their garments.

Lakmé Fashion Week (LFW) is jointly organized by Lakmé, the No.1 cosmetics and beauty services brand in India and IMG Reliance, the global leader in sports and entertainment event marketing and management.
Lakme Fashion Week has been conceived and created with a vision to “Redefine the future of fashion and Integrate India into the global fashion world”. LFW is organized twice every year. LFW Summer/Resort 2013 was held from March 22 to March 26th at Grand Hyatt Hotel, Mumbai.
Inspired from their visit to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s Ashram at Bangalore, the Mapxencar sisters presented their collection during the forthcoming Lakme Fashion Week 2013 on March 23 in Mumbai.
Riddhi and Siddhi Mapxencar own a fashion label mapxencaRS.
“The idea for this collection came from our visit to Sri Sri Ravi Shankar’s Ashram at Bangalore,” Riddhi Mapxencar said in Mumbai.
The Mapxencar duo has named their collection as “Son Shringar.” (Lakme Fashion Week 2013 – Grand Hyatt, Mumbai)
“We present the collection of Son Shringar – where anchored by gold, every colour in life comes alive. The collection is meant to inspire you to go within and be pure in soul like gold and yet enhance the life around you,” she said.
“Just as gold cannot be affected by any acid, and is deemed the purest metal, which even when goes through fire, gets only more purified, so also the soul as it goes through the ‘tapa’ of sadhana and dhyana (yoga & meditation) becomes more pure,” Siddhi Mapxencar said explaining the concept.
